I decided to go with a pacman style game for the chomp chomp challenge.
I'm making tiles and i have a situation where i have corners that occur "inside" a tile or around a tile (See red squares)
Is that just the way it is? Is there another approach that will not have me making these "special" case tiles.

Thanks matey. I made the horizontal/vertical edges centered on the tile and the corners became a separate tile. So now it is only two tiles and rotating to fit.

Thanks for the tips
That first one looks interesting. It would make a tighter map.
I think the second one (with the exception of the border) is my approach

Ended up with a combination;
