I could be wrong but I think the author and thegamecreators parted ways and the author released 2 part book through digital skills website http://www.digital-skills.co.uk/agkbooks.html. So may need to look at that website for the books.

You are quite right Dark Raven. The books are currently only available from Digital Skills and have been renamed Hands On AppGameKit Studio Volumes 1 and 2 (approx 1000 pages each). Anyone buying from there will have free access to future updates of the books.
