Here are a few videos of my own attempt at making a breakout-like game, to learn AppGameKit.
It works on windows/mac/android, and need a bit more polish and new levels (only 11 playable level for now)

I like it. My only suggestion is to brighten the color of the ball, I found it a little difficult for my eyes to track it.

and yes, Phaelax, i've notice it, expecially when getting a lot of diamonds or particles on screen, you tend to have a hard time finding your ball... I'll see what I can do about that

don't forget to add AppGameKit to RetroBrik's Metadata/Engines & Tools to be included in the queue. it's easy cross-promotion where most of us want as many people to enjoy our efforts as possible, and want to find each other's work. i've also followed you, there.

and, adding an HTML version would be wonderful for those of us that like to play games from wherever we may be or on whatever device is available

otherwise, good fun!

my only complaints are: like the ball, the bat can be difficult to track, as well, depending on the background and all else that might be going on. and, i'd like to maximize the window, as well.

meanwhile, here's a function found on the forums to add commas to our scores:



it might help you knock something off your to-do list for RetroBrik˜.

Didn t see any meta data/tools but i'll check and fill it, no problem
about an html version, it would have to be hosted somewhere right?
and finally, for the ullscreen size of things, i don't know, it scales everything and usually makes the game look a lot less nice, but this could be added easily
(why a comma to the score though?)

I also got the apk for android but i m struggling with the playstore right now

I added the meta data about the engine used to make the game

I also re-uploaded the game with fullscreen support

Very pretty and colorful.
To say something negative, what they have already said, it is difficult to follow the ball on some occasions.

itch.io would be the host
just export to html from within AGK.
then, go to the HTML Folder and change the name of the HTML File to "index.html".
Zip the files up and upload to itch.io

hahaha, ok, in french the "," is the ".", so I thought something like 8500.45, but "20,000,000" i get it

i could upload it in html 5 to itch.io, indeed, i'll try it

i m not sure how to make the ball and the bat more visible, though i may have a few ideas i'd have to experiment (like make them glow with some ligthblendin effects and such)

only 16 levels for now, but i'm not expecting many players to begin with, i'm coding for fun, the app is completely free and ad-free

you may want to make the viewport taller @ itch.io where you are currently not allowing the AGK-S fullscreen option to show, and the itch fullscreen button produces this:


meanwhile, consider re-mapping the Escape Key where it seems it is currently mapped to Exit or terminating the app, which it cannot do from within the browser:
