Great question I'd like to see an official response, too. Are Classic and Studio diverging or do they share a common base?

i expected the response to this inquiry to mean any updates to Studio that also pertain to Classic would update Classic*.

So far, i believe they have, though there have been delays in Classic being brought up to speed; See Paul's posts (where the Classic Updates don't always match Studio's).

2020.07.28 does have core updates so i expect a Classic update, *eventually.

Good to know @Virtual Nomad, thanks Looks like it can be delayed quite some time, but that doesn't mean it's not coming. Particularly now with the whole COVID situation, I'd expect things to go slower, and that's fine.
