I am trying to save state when the user exits the program, but could not find anything in the documentation that would suggest AGK2 can detect a window close event.

I have tried creating sprites that detect when the user is moving the mouse out of the window, however, it seems a little "Hackey" to have to do it this way.

The File Explore plugin has a function that will remove the title bar from an app. You could do that and have your own close button[/url]

'PartTimeCoder' provided a plugin to do just that and it's been working really well for me. It requires no hooks or any work-arounds. Here is the thread (his post with the plugin is about two thirds the way down): https://forum.thegamecreators.com/thread/226648

Many thanks for all the replies and help, the plugin by "PartTimeCoder" looks as though it will work.
