AppGameKit Classic Chat / Recompiled AGKMac_master library (libAGKMac.a) is several times smaller than the size of the original AGK library. What could be the problem?

I'm trying to recompile the AppGameKit library for Mac on XCode (libAGKMac.a) and the size of the resulting library is several times smaller than the size of the original library in the set supplied with AGK.
What could be the problem???
