here's my alien compo, it's just about finished, but I'll call it an alpha anyway. This is 300 years of dedicated hard work.

forgot instructions:

Hit the corresponding direction on the numpad of the glowing arrow. like 4 is <- and 6 is -> Stars are wild. You can hit any direction for them.

That's about all there is too it. pretty easy, there's random retarded cutscenes when you lose.

I really suck at animating

edit: I added combo moves and fixed the music.. HAVE AT IT

some of the images are just balck and white lines, like static on a tv... so its hard to tell what your supposed to be doing, i really like the bit when your alien gets hit by a baseball bat tho!!!

Really fun. Well done.

It might be too late now, but if you can resubmit then make it slowly speed up as you progress as after a bit it gets boring. Also, if you miss a move it might be better to just lose some points and move on rather than having to keep going till you get it right.
Another good addition could be difficultly modes, where the scrolling is faster and you start nearer the top.

I found it was much more fun to let it scroll you to the top and then try and battle your way back to the bottom.

Overall - simple to play, hard to master and really good fun: the perfect combination. Well done.

Actually it does get faster, just not as quickly as you'd like

And when you miss a move, I assume you're talking about the combos, your multiplier goes back to 1, so in the end of the combo you get less points then you would had you not missed, unless of course your multiplier is already 1.. then you need all the help you can get.

Yeah, I haven't submitted it yet, so now I can add aaalll sorts of crap.

Edit: Well I blew that one... read the new deadline for submission wrong... POOPS

What I meant was that if you press the wrong button it should just move on. At the moment you have to keep going until you get it right.

You'd have to have, say, three faults maximum else the player could just tap anything to escape from the top.

It might not work, but try it.
