How about YOU post some stuff first...

If anyone has some decent stuff to show off they will more than likely start their own thread.

Good artwork Phaelax! I could probably find a use for MaxZ if you aren't using it for anything. I'm always salvaging old artwork.

sure thing. I actually got that design by accident.
I don't care if anyone uses any of my abstract designs.

I used PS6, so in my opinion it's 2D.

Just some characters for me and my friend's project,
a remake of CastleVania2: Simon's Quest...

Oh yeah... the reason why the big picture of the
Merman is so damn ugly is because I made him ,
but hey! It's the sprites that matter (though you
probably think that they are ugly as well ).

Nah, I just like it. Also its good reference online. Its easier than me naming a load of artists and books to look at, which I will if your interested.

Something to definately look at is Richard Williams work. Hes an old school cartoon animator who learned from the masters. Check out his books(Published in loads of different formats) as he talks about distortion, characature, cartoon, and the importance of OBSERVATION. Also loads of writing about animation, which is the key to making a nice looking game(ganes are afterall time based graphics).

I just looked and couldnt find much of his stuff on google, but his book, techniques of animation, is refered to a few times...
