It's a techdemo. I was just playing a few days with BVH files and Darkbasic Pro. This just a test. I hope to create a better version.

I have still trouble with some bugs...

download here: http://home.hccnet.nl/p.pasma/dummy.zip

Please some comments.. You like it? Hate it? One thing is for sure.. I can't dance...

The animation looks really realistic.
Can I conclude that you did that with motion capture?

as BVH is the most common Motion Capture format, i'd guess that it is ^_^

What Raven said was both correct and concise ...

There was no need to be a dick, Jimmy.

I looked really hard, but there wasn't a smiley in sight! Internet "humour" is lost if people can't guage your mood at the time of writing.

Sorry if it was meant to be funny and I took it the wrong way. But uhh... I'm sure I'll be forgiven if the old "shout at someone" jape went over my head.

Allright... a lot of reply... I think.

I have used one of the Motion capture files of Poser 4.0. It has a few dance motions.

Too bad for me, I don't have mocap device; but there is a very easy solution to create animations.

Poser 4.0 in combination with Amabilis 3D Canvas Pro, you can realy create very easy, good looking animations. I don't like the BVH export from Poser 5.0. It has too many details.

So, if you search for a solution for game animation, than are Poser 4.0 and Amabilis the answer.

By the way, here's another test, now created with Poser.

And the download: [href]http://www.cgs-studio.nl/games/bvhtest.zip/[href]

It has two BVH files included.
