I've never used it, all I know is it's young, so it can only get better - things like built-in BSP compiling will attract a lot of amateur coders. I mean, apart from modelling then converting(very far from ideal - especially when you consider texturing and the lack of lightmapping), Carto Shop is the cheapest option.

I've got it, love it. Very easy to use and quick to knock up buildings etc. I don't like DBP's BSP converter becuase (even when I follow the BSP "rules") I get crashes, sometimes it works fine, other times, no hope, even if I've not changed anything between conversions ! But CShop as a tool is groovy. Exporting object lists, col info is there, look forward to CShop 2 with build in BSP converter that works and takes into account CShop's light maps Once DBP/CShop are more tightly integrated I'll be very happy.

Hey, the current version IS CShop 2 !!

Cshop is a nice tool ... i purchased it, because it's fast for creating simple scenery for DB/DBpro ...
I'm nevertheless deeply waiting for the next version, which should support more complex objects, and better texturing options ...

In short, it's a great app to start with !

Personally I moved off it because I couldn't get the objects to compile to BSP. It also isn't anywhere near as advanced as other tools such as Worldcraft (which is free after all)

Saying that I can't get any maps from Worldcraft working in DBPro...

I havenh't and probably won't use it for a couple very simple reasons. To me, the majority of the work in making a game is writing the world editor. Basically, if you right decent software to do the work for you, then you can just sit back and have fun making your game. I also won't use it because I am currently experimenting with an idea which (if it works) should allow for game worlds with no size limits at all, and zero loading time 8)... More on the later reason will come if I succeed (and I will)

@Pheel: yeah but CS maps are roalityfree, if u use WorldCraft oder GTK, you will have to pay a lot of money if you make some game that isn't freeware

Where the .X to BSP converter to DBpro everyone is talking about

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.
