Hi,

I still have problems loading 3DS files... But...
I really don't understand this:

- I can't load Cinema 4D XL7's 3DS files;
- I can't load the 3DS files that I downloaded from www.3dcafe.com (I think they have been made by 3D Studio Max itself);
For these two kind of files, I get this error message from DBP: "Runtime error 7018 - Could not load 3D object at line 6".

BUT:

There are some 3DS files on DBP's cd-rom, and I CAN LOAD these files they work fine.

My question is: what is the difference???????????
:-(

Seb.

I have basically the same problem. I was wondering if the bitmap file has to be in .TGA format (as opposed to .BMP, .GIF etc) when loading. So for example, it could load the actual mesh, but when it tries to load the bitmap, it can't see one that it needs and returns an error.

I'll have to try that later.

Yes, I really am THAT good...

DB Pro seems to be unable to use media files which aren't in the prject directory when you try to compile it ...
