s'il vous plaƮt?

Raven Vegeta posted trueSpace 2 standard edition->http://www.darkbasicpro.com/apollo/view.php?t=2937&b=3

But, it's really buggy on my system, keeps saying something about 3DR not found or something like this.

i think my forum is down again ... i'm begining to wonder what the hell Lycos are doin' over there because the past week its been up and down more than newly weds!

The really annoying thing is i can still access the ftp and everything is fine its the actual http access ports

ho hum ... 3DR is on Disk3 and has to be setup seperately, however if you put them onto disks and install it doesn't - quite odd and annoying lol

Hows those who have been able to download it liking it?
Remember any questions and I should be able to quite easily answer them - perhaps after a lil refresher in it

I think it's great!

I had to fiddle a couple of minutes to find out they put the shaders in the Material(sounds logical) and yeah you NEED 3dr unless you like to model in wireframe.

I had lots of fun playing with it,loading my 'DeviL-Kain' and re-rendering it over and over testing shades'n stuff.

Modeling isn't the most standard feature (like the rest)but I know that when you get used to it,you can make very good quality models, maybe just a bit high rez though.

Personally,I recommend it as a must and I can't wait for TS3 to be uploaded somewhere.

Hehee ... i'm working on getting my hands on a copy to upload now as talking to Caligari they're willing to setup a serial number thing

Lycos is back up and running now so anyone who didn't get it the first time is now able to again.

(^_^) Glad to hear you've been having fun with 2 really is quite amazing, especially if you can find some TSX plugins compatible. The 3DR really is a must, however 8years ago when it was released most people didn't have much better than simple 2Mb DirectDraw style cards - not really capable of fast 3D ... certain was S-L-O-W hehee

You like the way they had layer'd shaders in the materials?
You can also develop alpha maps and cube maps within trueSpace2 itself
Once you're happy with materials throw them into a library and save them for later and next time you want them just load into the current libaries

Not really anything in the way of manual help sadly, but everything is relatively easy to understand with a bit of playing - hehee

RightClick for function (hold for all tools in that group)
LeftClick for variables menu (similar to 3dmax rollouts)

As everything has its down small variable window you can quite easily have 2-3 of what you need meaning you have almost the whole screen to develop within...
Oh oh and try out alot of Boolean tests, as trust me you'll be happy at them.

Be good to see some work people achieve within this product, perhaps high polygon but where I learn to do low polygon work which is why its kinda my specialty

I'll try the booleans, from what I heard they're easy and good.

Also,yeah 3dr screams 1996 lol

I'll keep you guys up to date but I'd need space on Lycos to hotlink...I think they didn't even give me one wih my Broadband.

Ok, I'll check that out, I've been having fun with g-max latly, sucks I can't export to a usable format. Been playing with anim8or too again, actually accomplished something, got a nice little helmet modeled.

TS3 would be nice though . If ya do get it Raven, I wouldn't suggest Lycos lol. Maybe, http://www.brinkster.com/ or something else like that, lol...

i don't like the others... too many popups and forced adverts - the problems are due to the current server updates. Won't matter in a few weeks cause I'll have everything running from my home server so it should be fine
