I wrote a program that generates highly configureable explosion textures in 'texture pages' for sue in 2D (or 3D) games. You show one frame at a time from the 256 square bitmaps to play an animated explosion, they are used in many games.
The program is free, the sample textures are also royalty free, let me know if you finish any cool games using them.

Works for me.... The explosions it makes are nice, but I can't find the output files.
