Ok, I made two decent game engines; one for moving a little stick figure around a map, being able to pick up stuff if he walks on it, and occasionally getting into a fight with an enemy. Of course, for the fights with the enemies, I made another engine, which is turn/text-based and has stuff like HP, different weapons, and ammo for the weapons.

The problem is that when I try to put the two in one program, and a fight occurs, none of the text for the fight happening appears (even though I hid all the sprites I used for the map), but the fight still happens, and when it's over (and the player wins), the map pops back up and everything's back to how it should be.

The code snippet is at:

If you use normal 'print' or 'text' in the game then It usually doesnt show up when some 3D stuff is on the screen. dunno why

Yeah, but sprites aren't 3D.

in DBP they are.

In DB they are not.

Its best to consult your main game loop and see if the text or print output is located down the bottom nears the sync command.
