Just wondering: When will the official trial be available?

Cheers

No one knows for sure when, but there will be a trial version after DBP has been released

I know this question has been raised before but what restrictions do you think the trail will enforce?

Well, most trials just works for eg. 30 days, and the save/compile functions are disabled, or they most certanley are, that's what you can expect. And of course: all free models, manuals, examples are far more less in the trial. At least that what I would expect.

it's gonna be stripped down like crippleware

it makes the trial act like trial software.

unlike people still use the db demo.

I think v106 was the worst case of this.

they should make it so your programs dont compile, that would have made me buy darkbasic a loooong time ago. I didnt even mind my darkbasic programs having that logo at the begining of my programs.

I think its stupid if there's less examples and manual-content in the trialversion....how can you get excited about the product if you cant find documentation and examples on some function you dont know how to use and by that cant try out the cool stuff???....

i hope there is a "online manual" otherwise it wouldnt be worth the download.

you'll probably find less examples in it, but it'll still cover the list of dbpro commands

If you get the basics and are able to use them and like using the program withthe simple functions, it will give an incentive to want to buy the whole thing to try the more cool stuff out, everyones version of cool is different, I am assuming you realize this , so they have to draw the line somewhere.

And of course: all free models, manuals, examples are far more less in the trial.

According to what the team has said, there won't be any models included.

True, no free models (loads of sound effects though for some reason!). The trial will have the manual, it's quite useless without it really. It will also be crippled quite badly, but that's the way it has to be.

a agree about v106, what was the limit? 4,000 or 40,000 lines of code? something like that.
