Hey Guys ( and Gals ),

Just looking at the forums here, and I noticed that our Avatars are what define us...

I mean, take TCA's avatar, that gives me a sense of who he is... Instantly I think of the way he posts, and the way he talks ( in general on the forum ).

Indi's Avatar ( changes every so often ) Show's he's creative, and it gives the impression that he like's "lighter" things...

MoonShine's avatar just makes me thing he's a Chick ( No offence ).

And my Avatar... well, It just looks plain weird... It makes me look like someone that's confused and a bit "alienated" ( pathetic joke I know, lol )...

And when you get people with the same Avatar, you ( well, I at least ) get so confused as to who it is... You start reading the post, and think "that's out of character" and THEN you read the person's Pen Name... and it all makes sence then...

What'd you think?

Jess.

lol, @ you both...

And Rich's Avatar too.
It reminded me of Terminator the first time I saw it, and Terminator has ultimate power... And that's how I see Rich ( on the forums at least, lol ).

Thanks for the reply's.

Reminds me of the time where we were all posting in one thread (and no one else was) then the pommies tried to take it over and they failed miserably. What that thread was, why it was there or when it happened is a mystery to me. Maybe I dreamed it.

And, yes, CattleRustler, We all think of cows when we see you, lol.
TBH, I don't really think of your avatar much, except that it's a horridly scaled up image...

Jess, i've just noticed how i always seem to be suprised by seing your avatar. Its got transparency! Freaks me out when ever i see it. Its quite a change from the genericly square ones everyone else has.

Note to self: Make avatar transparent

lmao...

Yeah, the transparency was done in Fireworks MX... I just saved the image in png8 format with Index Transparency, thus by-passing that annoying problem with IE not displaying the transparency in .png files.

Off Topic: I'm working on a theory that 3 = 7. Thus 3-3 would actually equal 4, -4 and 0 . Just thought you'd like to know

Yeah, that was Raven... he had dancing Gir...

I actually got my avatar from an Invader Zim wallpaper... I just took out the bit that I wanted and edited the background so that it was nice and transparent, and Voila!

Oh, and if 3 = 7 Then 3^7 would be 27, 2187, 343, and 823543...

yup, your getting the idea. The whole concept came up when a friend of mine drew a number line that went like this:

And he came up with the theory that when 3 is equal to 7 then whole universe would collapse

Of course, that drawing already fails the definition of a line, so it's false

Fine, we'll redefine maths so that it is now known as the "Number curve" or even better, the "number NURBS"

You realize that if the theory were true, then 27 = 343 = 2187 etc. so your number line should have more loops further on... right?

actually, the number NURBS would be a 7 dimensional object that makes rocket science look simple (which it is, mind you). It goes beyond quantum theory and string theory and can prove that every number is the same. Also, i found out that pi is just a chaotic variety of 3, and thus pi = 3 = 7

Hehe, that sounds familiar.

Your "3=7" theory isn't that new.
I saw a guy prove mathemathically that 2=5.
I have to find that web page again...

That's not a new theory.

Modular Forms work on a number line like that.
So do clocks. 11:00 + 3:00 = 2:00

It's how Andrew Wiles proved Fermat's Last Theorem.

You can make anything equal anything:

a=b

multiply by a

a^2 = ab

add a^2-2ab

a^2 + a^2 - 2ab = ab + a^2 -2ab

simplify

2(a^2 - ab) = a^2 - ab

divide by a^2 - ab

2=1

Ta da!

Ive not done maths like that in ages but surely 2(a^2 - ab) cannot equal a^2 - ab (i didnt even try to simplify)

if you write pie backwards and in semi leet (like N30F15H) you get 3.14 :p

pi is a cool number but rho is a better letter

plus this number thing of yours would have loops ever increasing in size

plus 2+2=5 so 2=3 and 3=2 so 5-2=3 and 5-2=2 etc etc, twoud be better

Sure it can :
if a=b then (a^2 - ab) would be equal to zero
So, you see that 2(a^2 - ab) allways equals a^2 - ab

The fact that a = b is stated at the first line

- Mind the gap -

Here's another theory you could adopt:
A moving object can't and won't EVER reach its destination.

How it works:
imagine a long ruler on the floor. There is a toy car at position 0.
We ignore friction, and say that when the car is pushed, it will reach
the end of the ruler within 10 seconds.
When the car is at the middle of the ruler, half the time would have passed. Meaning that it still has another half to complete.
So, now it's at position 0.5(half a ruler), after 5 seconds.
When the car is at position 0.75, it is half way to its destination point, starting from the previous point (0.5).
We just keep deviding the distance by 2, and the car logically, mathemathically, will NEVER reach the end of the ruler. It's still only half way there!
Adapting this to real life:
you are in college, last year. You still have another half to complete, before you graduate. You will NEVER graduate. HAHAHA!

I don't know if I explained myself very well, I'm not very good at explaining stuff...

I get ya... But thats just fancy talk, because you do reach the end. You pass the end of the ruler.
