Hi, I am trying to edit a Counter-Strike skin. Every time I decompile then reconpile even without touching the file my gun comes out all stretched out in-game. I just need to know how I can decompile and recompile the v_gun.mdl without it stretching the gun out.. here is a screen shot I took to show you a little better what I mean.

Oh and yes I did try to decompile in every different way.. left, right, and normal.. they all come out stretched =(

have u shown mete crigan the problem?.

You should also talk to mete about getting upto the proper version as there may be bugs in the file format export or handling in that version.

did u use lock object on to attach it there?

U may need to make a dummy track object or attach it via a limb to another object that represents the player location,
lock object on does weird things to objects.

And no I didnt edit the gun at all I only decompiled it then compiled it without making any changes to the gun in any way, and it still stretches it all out.

mete crigan can be contacted via the milkshape site.
He is the creator of the application.

Once you register Milkshape the first time.... it leaves you reg code in the registry.

So when you upgrade to later versions... you shuldn't need to re-register ( unless you used a keygen maybe ) ??

I've never had to re-register Milkshape .... and I upgrade every time theres a new one.
