For me:

Actor/Actress: Steve Buscemi--- seems like he would be a cool guy in real life. Probably doesn't have a huge ego.

Singer: Can't choose between Beck or Bjork. Beck Hansen has to be my largest influence on getting into and writing music. He is incredibly skilled at composition. Again, seems like a cool guy in real life. Bjork is so funky and it would be neat to know how much of her personality is an act

Entrepreneur: Might be a cliche, but it would be very inspirational to be able to sit down and talk with the man, Bill Gates. Love or hate him, he is one of the largest reasons we're all doing what we're doing on our computers everyday. Was he in the right place at the right time, or was it his skill that took him to where he is today?

Athlete: I can't think of any myself, but I thought many of you will have your football or other sporting heroes that you'd like to meet.

Actor/Actress: Hmmm, I can't really decide. I'm a big Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter fan, so I'd take any of those actors/actresses.

Singer: Right now I'm really into Audio Slave. Would really like to talk with their lead guitarist Tom Morello. Seems like a good enough guy.

Entrepreneur: Bill Gates as well. People say windows sucks, but if it really sucked, why do most people use windows? I want to know his secrets and perhaps set myself up for a future job at Microsoft.

Athlete: Michael Jordan. I'm a big basketball fan and player.

A book? I hate book. Book is stupid.

Actor: William Shatner, because I'd like to give him a damned good slap for TJ Hooker.

Singer: William Shatner, because I'd like to slap him into the middle of next week for his album 'The Transformed Man' ... especially for the 'Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds' song.

Entrepreneur: William Shatner, so I could slap him for these adverts. http://www.priceline.com/promo/shatner_return.asp?session_key=420011AC5C0011AC20040706211720224380593651&plf=pcln&refid=HPPROMO5&refclickid=0604SHATNER

Athlete: err ... no, as big as he is now, I don't thing William Shatner could qualify as athletic. I guess I wouldn't mind meeting Maria Sharapova for a nightcap and ... um, never mind

Actor - Mike Myers

Singer - Singer? Hmm...I don't listen to much music with any vocals...so I wouldn't know

Athelete - I'll have to agree with Kain with this.

Entrepreneur - Bill Gates, to pretend he's a great guy, then tell him everything wrong he's doing with Microsoft, and how he should really be doing things (like setting his priorities straight, instead of working on Windows Longhorn, have them start working with several top notch studios on Mech Warrior 5).

Cheers,

LMAO... those adverts were great Ian

Actors/Actresses: Hmm, I think that'd probably have to be Angelina Jolie and; i dunno for a guy, Keanu would be cool cause i'd wanna spar with him and find out just how seriously he took the Kung Fu in the Matrix movies, but also Johnny Depp cause like you could go out and just kick back with the guy.
Jolie simply because she is said to be damn eccentric and to me that sounds like she'd be awesome to hang with too.

Muscian: It'd be a tie, Eric Clapton or Yoko Kanno. Eric would be cool to hang with and be awesome to hear him rift, dude knows howto use a guitar as if it were part of him. But Kanno, just a surblime musical genius.

Entrepreneur: I've met him a few times before, total nerd and reminds me of my brother waaaay too much. John Carmack

Athelete: Don't really follow sports so couldn't name anyone let alone have a favourite.

Lol, all I've heard is he's only done minimal charity work in the past few years, and what he donates is way under the amount he could afford to.

Bill Gates hs given hundreds of millions, if not BILLIONS of dollars away to all kinds of charities including the charity his wife and him started. People, for some reason, assume that because he's rich he must be a greedy S.O.B. :p

I'd like to know what exactly he stole from IBM? IBM are mainly hardware based and Microsoft are software, as such, when Windows was first created Bill Gates even went to the effort to setup a deal with IBM so Windows would only come with IBM PC's. Several years later he decided to enlarge market share though so the deal was broken and Windows would be provided with almost every PC on the market. He didn't steal a darn thing from IBM, if anything, he helped them.

Plus, Steve Balmer doesn't own Microsoft - he's just the CEO. Bill Gates is still the chairman. You are right though, he does give a lot to charity, he's given over $3 Billion through his charity (The Gates Foundation I believe). It's tight-asses like the founder of IKEA who don't give a damn thing, he won't even fly first class because it'll cost him too much.
