Alrighty I have a website again this time payed for...no more free ones for me x_x;

-Now I can have the pictures from my website instead of uploading
-EXE and other things will be uploaded to website and now will have faster DL time becuase they wont be on forums now..

Ok ive been working on it today

Ive worked on the Targeting box and added more info to it...Iam gonna add healthbar and stuff soon...
I will also be finishing the battling system...Iam not gonna play BF2 so that means progress will be made xD

-This picture was taken while in online mode. #17 was offline thats why Ping was 0 and #18 is running at 145fps because of the server running on and Windows Media player on the same box...online it can reach about 900FPS client alone..

This is a new client that has...

-Battleing
-Battling music, doesnt fade out I just wanted to add it quick..
-Client doesnt die,because I didnt want to add that in right away so you can just go around and kill
-Updated the Targeting HUD
-Still No collision
-A Registering page ( if you dont want to register just use Name: Guest Pass: Guest
- New models in
- Press A to attack after you choose target
- Change your name in Settings.txt
- Added Music volume control which you can change in Settings.txt (default is at 60)
-And thats it... Enjoys

I'm downloading(at 3.5Kbps, much better than the other day). It should be done soon, so don't be going taking down the server yet. I'll post here when I have tested it.

I can't even play. The exe say that object doesn't exit at line 1527 (I think)

Ok I closed the server...
The whole screen size is illegal thing is becuase you have to have the Settings.txt file formated like this

If you do not want a last name leave the "Ishida" part there as a space becuase it is read line by line....so that is the reason you recieve an error...

Ok ok...I am rehosting the server tomorrow from 6:30am to 4:30pm my time (Eastern)

Also.....I guess I didnt clarify this but you need both sets becuase you need the resource files...so download these two things

1. Download the main program (this has the old EXE + the resource files)

2. Then when your done downloading #1 Download the updated EXE and replace the EXE from #2 and put it in the folder of #1

I can't seem to can't past the login screen. I've tried both registering and logging in but it just freezes and never seems to do anything. Is it really necessary to have logging in this early in development?

Hmm thats wierd becuase it worked for some other people for example
JasonHTML logged in and it worked fine for him... I will look into the problem you are having...
(Also I have the loggin system in because I was testing that whole thing...I can take it off though)
EDIT: I noticed 11 accounts were made I didnt see anymade by you benjamin and Peter...

I found the problem and I fixed it...sorry about that, It wasnt really coded for network latency..you can try it now though..
You will have to download the new Client EXE
and for anyone who wants to DL it just download the complete package that comes with the New EXE also...

downloading.. i should (hopefully) be on the server in a few minutes...
[edit] i got past the registering part, but it seemed to freeze up on the loading screen... i waited until the entire song had played and it had been like 7 minutes and i gave up

Ok...the new exe hasnt been released yet but here is what is done so far

-Added blinker to chat
-Added Leveling
-Added a non case sensitive login
-Added some minor fixes
-Fixed a major bug brought on by leveling system
-and some other internal issues...

Dang, I only wish I could get a laptop, then I would have all my multiplayer problems solved... stupid router...

Really nice progress! But, I know something my game has that yours doesn't! (Psssst, I dont want anyone else to try and have it in their game too, so dont ask )

Also, it seems that your MSN is shared with someone else. Can you start the conversatoin with me? Cause I never know if its you or not

Alrighty...

-Added Level to the client
-Added Monster name tag colors based on level
-I think i found the bug for the streching of name when name tag is used
-Improved Targeting system (now it doesnt loose target when your clicking on a non object)
-Added Textbar scroller and added support to click and goto a certain line
-Fixed the overlay bug of the Statbox
-Fix the Bindstone targeting problem
-Added a few new online commands
-And some other minor bug fixes...
The next release will be soon hopefully before christmas.....

UPDATE:
Still havent sent in my moniter yet...

-Server changes have been made and now it runs alot faster
-Fixed some bugs
-Server isnt limited as was earlier (so now it is easier to update and solve bugs)
-Server is undergoing some cosmetic changes
-Client worked on still increasing FPS rate
-Better loading method, loads things faster then before (still working on it but its coming )
-and some other stuff

next test will be soon...I dont know how long soon is but within the this month or next

EDIT:
The game in the vid is running at 30fps (Fraps really slows it down )

BUT on average with me running the server and a client on the same computer I get about 400-500fps rendering about 15k polys

but thats really driving me off
can you do something about it?

mabye make the monsters walk slower or just make a short travel points so they will stop every few seconds so u will be able to attack them or something..

They do stop at points and wait for a set period of time
-The main reason why it kept leaving was because I kept missing when I was attacking the monster (its lv 7 while iam lv1)
its not hard to attack monster and have them fight back but when your too weak to hit them then they dont attack you and just continue on their paths
- I am going add aggresive monsters so when your just by them they attack you

Okay.

Suggestions.. that I can remember...

-Have text be black
-Scroll with mouse wheel in convo window
-Have attack messages be in it's own window so it doesn't flood chat window. Make sure you have the miss attacks as a different color or something. And make sure you only show your own attack messages.. not anyone elses. If a person wants to see someone elses have there be a button or something.
-The delete button.. too fast... have it go slow and if they hold it down for a while have it go fast.
-World map. I got lost.
-Run button, I went way out there. And stuff.
-Save a users EXP.....

Just tested the game. Great demo, I must say! for suggestion, there alot that is the same that for linx, like,

-cannot see text, change color.
-Yea, save XP, lvl and hp mp and thing like that.
-like linx said, the delete button is way too fast, need to be slowed down.
-Add collision too( Ithink that this is in you're to do list.)

There one bug that I've found. When I've change my name in setting.txt, when I atk, my text goes green and I don't see my hit point and same for the enemie.

don't know why I have to put that, but as two other putted that, I'll do it too:

I had just typed a post and it wouldn't send, and so I lost it. Well I suggest you make the text readable, and add tabs to the message window so you can switch between general chat and battle messages, which would be great.

I also suggest that you add randomly appearing gold piles that you can pick up, to give more objective to the game when people are testing it(It'll be more fun and people will stick around for longer).

yeah thanks for testing the reason you can see the text is I switched out the GUI normally it was gray....but now its brighter so you can see the text sorry about that....Iam gonna see if I can get cloggy to add outline to the text in his dll because I want customizable GUIs but I would need a black outline on any color other then black and a white outline for black text so you can see it on all GUIs well thanks for the test it will be back up tomorrow for anyone who missed out
