lol that would be cool....well back to Halo 2 still on my break but when iam back home its work and less play....(play is needed for me to get game ideas...like they say all work and no play makes jacks games dull)

-Finished new Enemy AI it now uses waypoint it stand of cheap AI used earlier
-Added different types of movement to AI
-Still need to add 3 more types
-FPS has risen once again

Thats a major thing AI is almost done all I need to do is add more spazz to it and its finished

My fps keeps dropping... Im not sure how to counteract that.

Finally added the name thingys....xD I just had forgotten it..

Gray - 3 or more levels lower
Green - 2 levels lower
Blue - 1 level lower
White - same level
Yellow - 1 level higher
Red - 2 levels higher
Purple - 3 or more levels higher

Alright just Optomised the game...
now It runs on 836 mem for arrays for low and 1268 on high
FRQ - Frequently updated data
low:
-upto 64 Characters in FRQ
-upto 64 Monsters in FRQ
-upto 128 Tags in FRQ
-upto 320 Equipment object/sprite in FRQ
-upto Misc objects (Missiles,etc) in FRQ

and for high just multiple all that by 2
basically this is the max that the game will take data at a given time so hopefully you dont have to reach the max..and players,monsters,etc when out of range are moved to the Old Data pile so when you move into range of the thing it will just pick off from the data it started from...

alright iam gonna be doing some more animation just did alittle pose
to test out my skeleton...it has been boned for a few months but I was waiting to get more work done to have it at a point were they were more suitable

that is a test pose.. if you look close to the image the NPC has his hand bawled up so finger animation will be included...but dont expect any middle finger animation xD

Just added Model list this is a list of all the models that have been loaded (1 of each) this does not include World objects just monsters,players,etc... what this list does it when you go out of range and the obj is deleted from memory (to save memory and ram) and if you go back into the range of the the model or things that use the same models the game automatically with load the needed preloaded model from the stack and have the model number in the FRQ list.. stored models are not accesed regularly by game only use when a file is needed

Alright added a new function that make a patch of grass of a images the patch of grass in the image above contains 500 grasses...I still need to fix the black line bug...

-Fixed some stuff
-Add Grass
-Added some other stuff

Question:
Should the Position and Y rotation be random? (this is the current way it works)
Or have it so when the map editor is finished when I design a patch of grass the grass is randomized there and then when maps are loaded the grass is positioned the same each time...

Make the Y rotation so that it is always facing the camera. Then you ca ncull the back of them to save memory and it looks better. If you have goliage over a rock or something then that looks good as static.

Now those 2 pictures are showing the landscapes of DO.. in Pic 31 I have made changes for better graphical terrains my question is should I keep the new terrains or keep the old
New Terrain
Pros:
Looks better
When character is going up hills the hills can be smaller and better in fading to heights
Hills are not as steep
Terrain doesnt look as blocky
Hills and mountains will be very different in shapes
Cons:
FPS is lower by about 2-8 depending on area (also my graphic card sucks so that is another reason Guildwars plays at about 10-20fps on mine)
Map files are alittle bigger by 40kbs..I think I can optomize it better though...
Loading maps take about 1-3 seconds longer then regular (cant really tell the difference)

And also about the grass and texture it is all just temp textures and stuff iam gonna add some better ones but iam just focusing on having a basic skeleton of the game..

lol I honestly do not know the approximatly amount of lines that I use because iam constantly updating things and I say ATLEAST 30-50% of the game has stuff that can be taken out and or is Remed..

This Game so far is looking absolutly stunning Seeing this is
one of the reasons that got me looking at DarkBasicPro more seriously.. Brought if off Amazon.co.uk for £20! Bargin or what?? ..
Would of purchased it earlier but Cisco CCNP work was to much to handle at the time..

ok website was fixed ftp wasnt working right... but anyway how many players I have no clue but it will be more then 1 xD free? maybe if I need to purchase a server for it then i will probably need to have a fee but I doubt that but If I ever do charge it would probably be $2.50 - $5.00 a month...but lets not think about that yet....
