I just downloaded the latest demo and the keywords arent being highlighted in blue. Is there an option I need to turn on somewhere? Numbers are still in green and remarks grey etc, just keywords arent being highlighted.

What did you download? You need both dbpro_ide_109.exe and ide_exe_109b.zip.

The files that specify the syntax highlighting have moved and changed. Thats probably why it doesn't work for you.
