My computer is a Viao. You know, the one that comes with all that software (like photoshop). Anyway, i use cable. But i didn't read the book which lists all the features, so im not sure if it supports infared. But i get messages in my win. log saying stuff about infared, so im pretty sure it does support.

Anyway, no. I didnt have internet when i reformated.

Theres a little red light in the back and on top it says Optical Out. COuld this be the infared? Also, it looks exacly like an infared light does.

I have a firewall and AV and it seems like he just gets past everything.

LOL. Thats what the tech. said when he looked at my computer. He said hes making a sever and hacking though it. But he just couldn't understand how on earth it could be wireless because the signal seemed to streach all the way to where i work at.

Stupid Viao, they put in wireless crud without letting you know making it possable for hackers to hack wireless i guess.

Oops, when i said it said my own IP was hacking or something... I was looking at my IP, not the source IP. Sorry! So the firewall alerts have nothing to do with this. How is he getting past my firewall and how is he connecting so far?

have you tried to disable it? as well as remote login?
to disable it (whatever it is) your best bet would be to go to the device manager located in system that is in the control panel (control panel -> system -> hardware tab -> -> device manager). once you find what you are looking for disable it.

How long is your password? not that it matters anymore if backdoors are installed

once that stuff is done I suggest you follow this tutorial about securing your box http://www.jinx.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=9214

Dude, there is no way infared can go trough walls or floors. It's just light for crying out loud. The only way we could be getting through wireless is if you have a router, or some other kind of wireless adapter. Think about it...
One more thing, why are you afraid that he will hurt you, if he is so good, then he's probably a frail, little nerd, and if tries to anything, KICK HIS ASS. If he is of Arnold Schwarteneger stature, then well, you are totally screwed.

It ain't that the guy is connectnig through the infra-red connection (totally impossible), he's probable accessing the TPC port that governs infra-red connections through the internet. All you got to do is block the correct port (should be able to do this in firewall settings).

once you have an ip adress you can then scan for open ports. Probably the port "owned" by your infared. do you have a router?once again how do you connect to the internet? you said you have cable so how is your setup like? i for example have a modem which goes to my router then to my computer.

I have a modem that connects directly to my computer. Under my port scanner, im finding some VERY weird things:

UDP 172.140.79.??:123 *:*

The ??'s (last 2 digets) is for his own privacy (wouldn't wana get in trouble for giving out peoples IPs).

lol. Yah, i use AOL. Why? Also, my friend says its impossable to view the data from an .EXE file, but i just did it. LOL. He used to have a trojan on my mechine that gave him my passwords though e-mail or something. I wanted to view the source of the file to see where it was sending the info (to report it), but i didn't have a string extractor. Anyway, i went into MS-DOS and typed edit then made a blank .exe DOS file and used my string extractor and it showed all the code in it. LOL.

[Edit]... O,wait. I switched my ISP. I am now a RR user.

Its ok. I dont think he can really help because i dont even really know whats wrong with my computer. I mean i know whats wrong, but i dont know if its a virus or what. Thanks anyway. I dont think anyone could help. Only way someone could help is only if they saw it happeneing (cause its hard to explain).

I think you have some automated bot, placing random files on your computer. Being a hacker myself, (for good not evil, I dont hack bank accounts and all that crap) That is a good way to open up someones hard drive to a suspecting hacker. Unless you have noticed any money gone from your accounts and stuff, I'd say he is trying to scare you. One program that comes with windows, add/remove programs. If he is using trojans, or a bot, It'll most likely be disquised as a default windows program, like Windows XP Hotfix, is a prime example. Scan those kind of files for a bot, or even an advanced worm. It saves lives trust me.

Ok... Hmmm. I just don't get hows hes doing this. I mean if i knew how, i could stop him. Im sorta good at stopping hackers, but the only problem is i dont how hes doing it. A pro scanned my computer and found nothing. He looked though my files and said theres not ONE file that can be letting him in. He also viewed some files a hacker might have edited to let him in but again, found nothing. After many attempts, he says that he is making a private vertual server and hacking though there. Thats also one of the reasons i get firewall alerts saying a new network is being established. He then goes though the process of fixing this, but he just comes right back as if he never fixed it. He still has no clue how on earth hes doing this. I see the IP of his hacking network, but all i can do is stare at the screen because i cant disable it for some reason.

NO! DO NOT TRY TO "GET HIM BACK"! If he is no "script kiddy", then maybe he has been toying with you,but if you try to get him back then he most certainly will come back 100x harder. Maybe then your bank account will be hit. And if you have Paypal, he most certainly has that password.

My simple suggestion: Copy all that you can (and has been virus checked) to blank Cds or DVDs and FORMAT. I know it sucks, but it sounds like you may be fighting a losing battle.

Fraggles where quite the scary lot...

At first i wanted him back so i can get him in jail. Now im just plain sick of him. Hes like an idiot asking a smart guy a question saying "What?" every two seconds. You gota keep on telling him to shut up. In this case, its not shut up, its STAY OUTA MY COMPUTER! lol. What i mean is he keeps on comming back.

THanks though. I tried reformating though Ive even tried my laptop, but if i remember correctly, he also got into that. Im almost definite hes just targeting my IP with his fancy non-script kiddy hacking program.

u can get free linux, but the best costs, there are good, bad points (one being file formats and the way its set ou is different so hard to adapt) it also more secure + AIM + AOL most prob no, msn has been converted to linux somewhere, its called AMSN
