I am thinking of writing a FSP but was wondering what the best map editor would be.

Any thoughts.

Thanks.

It is absolutely brilliant. If you have half life then it helps but you can still use it without
It takes a while to configure!!!!!

Quark is very easy to use also. It has the lights option and all other bells and whistles.
Qoole is another one, though if you're going to sell your game you cannot use it.
Of course you could also use 3D modeling suites.
I don't know the Valve editor.

Worldcraft is fairly good, that's a Half-Life map creator from Valve. However to use any of Valve's stuff, I think you need to ask them and/or pay lots of money. There are licensing issues.

Of course you don't have to use bsp maps, you could just do the whole lot manually using cubes and pre-made models, loading them into dark basic and placing them at run-time.
