it's not that we're insulting you, personally. We're insulting the pictures and the amount of time you did not put into them.
Tell me you spent more than 2 minutes drawing those.
When I sit down and draw, it's for a good 30-60 minutes on one piece, and on one object. More or less depending on how complex. For example, if I were to draw say, a full figure, it would take me at least an hour to get the shapes right, and have a good looking image, ready for inking. If that figure were clothed in an intricate outfit or garment, it may take much more time. If that person is pretty much nude, it wouldn't take me more than 30 to 45 minutes.
This is the amount of time you should be putting into your drawings. If you can't seem to use that much time to draw a figure, you need to study more, there's so much you can do to make a good looking picture, that you will NEVER be able to do it in a few minutes.
Now this may not be true for some things. For example, cartoon animations, where most of the detail comes in the coloring of the figure. With an experianced artist, on a simple drawing, wouldn't take more than a few minutes. But to make a very good stand alone piece (for example, in a comic) and an inexperianced artist, (you and I) it should take a lot of time and devotion.
(btw, my explanations is before it's sent off to be colorized. This could take hours depending on how its done.. on a standalone piece. For cartoons (like on tv) it wouldn't take too long, because it's got to be done quickly, because there's hundreds of frames in a cartoon. But in a single piece, you need detail!! People are going to be studying your imagery because it's stationary!! This is very unlike a cartoon that moves and people can't concentrate and take in all the detail in only a few seconds, so it can be very simple.
