Just how does the NG plug in work. I mean i know in essence how the thing works and do sem to understand it - but in one paragraph of the support manual - it says u can use the main camera for collision detection with other world items - then on the next page it says u cant and u have to make a box around the camera??

Can someone please supply a short code that would outline the below simple collision definitions.

Main Camera - Camera 0
Tree Object - Object 200

How would i get NG to slide on the above tree - or if not slide then come to a halt?? Also is it possible to code it so that the player stops at the trunk - but if he goes through any branches - he simply walks through them - and doesnt come to a halt?

I added an NG collision snippet to the codebase, commented and all! It may help you understand what is happening

You must put a collision sphere around the camera if you want it to interact. I use a hidden plain with collision sphere, which is always at the same coordinates as teh camera.
