I think I've played Postal 2 too much, kinda got into the crazy violence thing...

Those new screens indeed look very nice, apart from a few moticable areas where the texture stretches, and the road seems to look curved rather than flat to me...

Well if photobucket was down then the pic's above wont be displayed as well. Plz log out of ur photobucket login then log back in n try again plz.

[edit] Hey tried posting an image and works fine for me. So can you plz try again there. Maybe some problem with ur logon or maybe coz u rearranged the pics inside photobucket.

Just the texture files alone are more than 15mb for the game!! The trailer is about 30 mb and the demo we r looking at another 25 to 30!

I don't think you need to pay to host a 30 meg file.

The default editor is fine.

I'm the first to watch the video!! I think this game looks great! What are your machine specs you have this running on? It ran smooth, looked great, and seems like there is an interesting ai behind it all.

Thanx Not so interesting AI though kept it real simple. Runs at a 30 fps in mine. Got P4 1.8ghz 512 mb and no AGP card just an inbuilt Intel Extreme Graphics 64mb card. N on the same system specs with a Nvidia fx5200 it runs at a 90 Fps. This is just a game trailer. I still got the demo pending to come out. But still working on some aspects in it. Like add proper Road signs. N get the collision going right. It works fine but at certain places there seem to be clashes. So i'll get a proper working demo out when im satisfied with the way it looks. Im a worse critic of my game myself. So I always see the minute aspects of it be4 I get it out to others. So patience plz every1.

Eh, Rougy, ya know that speedometer you asked for? I embedded a virus and sent it to your e-mail! (j/k) But really do you want the little red arrow thing on a different image or just copies of the same speedometer, with the red thing in different places? I'll send the trojan.... er.. file when I'm done.

Can't you check the distances between the cars on the road? Then when it finds a car infront of it, it will slow down and stop behind it. You could check which way point each car is heading for, then check if a car is on the same path.
This could also work for you. If you run out in the road, the car will screech it's brakes to try and avoid hitting you (it could swerv and do more damage, so it's not just your life that's in danger). A simple rotate to the left or right will do, no fancy physics. Then reset the simulation and leave a message telling you what you did wrong.

Well, if you've got a demo up I can host really easily for you.

I can give you a temp ftp access to my site so you can upload it.

Email me at grifty@gmail.com if you want. My server is fast so don't worry about speeds for people downloading such a file.

Thanx AluminiumPork i'll email u when my current option runs out.

@ Computer thats excatly what im doing atm. Thats the collision thats on. But i have 3 different types of collision with differnt variables thats kinda clashing with each other. So i need to just change that bit to work in accordence with each other.

@Manticore Night i would like the arrow thingy seperate. Thanx!

EDIT: What i mean is, any thing as Hi-Poly as your models are wont load in my game, anyways what file format are they?

The video was rendered in 3ds max. The max speed of the cars vary with the difficulty level in game.

@Joe Im using .x file format. N my world isnt so high poly it is about 57400 faces. Including trees. Excluding that its much lesser coz I had like 500+ trees for rendering purposes. And its best to break up ur world and load it in coz that will be much better for ur game in the later stages. U can hide objects easily that are not within the camera range.
