Whilst it's quiet, I'll start a little controversial subject - what needs to be fixed in Patch 4 (even though it's supposed to be just a 3D update) :

A) All the commands need to be up and running properly - I do think we've waited long enough...
B) Better error reporting, more accurate and prefably more descriptive - after all, what does pType==NULL mean ?
C) The editors command parameter listing & help pages need to accurate and correct. The help system also needs to find all the pages, and not just return 'Cant find page...'
D) I'm pretty sure that sometimes the F5 Compile & Execute just compiles a program and doesn't run it.
Good news everyone! I really am THAT good...

Option A sounds great ,you(dbs) can skip BCD for now.
But aint P4 only implementing the new render pipeline
an this new DBO format? That doesn't mean they are going
to fix all the buggy 3d commands.
My top fix priority are:
A)BSP COLLISION HIT set of commands must work for HL maps (generated with quark+zhlt).
B)LOS (Line Of Sight) command must be implemented for BSP.
C)No more BSP bugs like: falling thru ground, ghosted BSP
C)LOAD OBJECT command must work with MDL files and associated animation.

As long as these commands are buggy, dbp will continue
to be inapropriate for advanced 3D authoring.

Yes it does, I read in another thread the only reason for them not fixing them earlier is because they were going to have to do all the commands again with the new pipeline, so i'd expect things like free flight to get fixed soon.

The problem is P4 is apparently just a 3D upgrade, which whilst needed, shouldn't be the only thing that is fixed properly.

I would like to see LIMB information retrieved properly (when in a IF statement), and various other bits.

A> I've had this and turns out my project had not exited proberly due to a runtime error, check the close program dialog.

-YES YES glad its not just me going mad

-OOOOh I hope so

Re: Help system bugs/errors/irrevelvant info
-Heh-heh don't get me started!

Other than the Pipeline, the thing I'd really like fixing is BSP compatibility, this would really save me time. Plus please the weird irregular black transparancies and positioning of ghosted objects is damned annoying.

No that I'm complaining of course, so long as its all fixed eventually
