I have trial versions of DarkBasic 1.13 and DarkBasicPRO. DB 1.13, has tools like Model Editor, Bitmap editor, Sound Editor e.t.c. Do you have such features in DBPRO. And if you have DBPRO full version , how do you compare it with DB standard and what other tools does DBPRO have.

Any guidance will be helpful.
Thankyou

I have never used the tools in DB or DBP so I can't answer that. But DBP is a lot easer to program in and have a debug system.

yep thats it,

PS TAToad - I don't usually mention your "controversial" avatars or taglines, but surely it should be either:

1. Good news everyone! I really am THAT good...
OR
2. http://etc./ for great plug-ins - oh my, yes!

It just looks kinda messy with both now

People kept moaning that I didn't have my web site on my tag line - personally its a waste, but it keeps people quiet...

If there are too many complaints, I might change it back.

Dark Basic boxed version comes with a demo/utitlity cd which has unregistered versions of 3d canvas and 3d exploration and lot's of other stuff. I reckon this is what he means by tools. You get more extra stuff with DB than you do with DBPro but pretty much everything can be downloaded anyway.

Boxed DB1 comes with a utilities CD but DBPro doesn't. No big shakse tho cos most of the programs are only demo/shareware anyway, and can be downloaded quickly enough. Personally I found the extra cd with DB1 kinda a waste of time. I'd have prefered FULL DECENT games in different genres with source code. That said the examples with DBP are even less useful

DB pro has no tools apart from the BSP converter but
the programs it is compatable withn are far more powerful
and cost next to nothing as well.
DBPro is far better than DB1 and will continue to improve.
Basically anything used in MOD design for Quake and Halflife is compatible with it. BRILLIANT!!!!
