That's a very helpful FAQ . Since it's the only one there is right now and those are asked a lot, for now at least, I'm giving this a sticky .

i was wondering if the fpsc would have decals(if thats how its spelled)...like bullet holes and burn marks....i couldn't find any info (or i just didnt look well enough)....also how do you define the map size 40,40,5 tiles? It can't be matrix tiles cause then it'll either be tiny or undetailed.....

Yes.

The map is made up of a number of tiles that are clicked together to produce a world. You can have up to 40 x 40 tiles in each map.

The size of the tiles is quite large, I think.

will scripting allow for cut-scenes and fmv?
what about sprite control...i.e for animated HUD?
I read the engine isnt like doom 3 and far cry and that it'll take a leap early next year...does that mean it'll return values i.e representing head shots, arm shots and so on...like in the original hl game"?

Great FAQ. Thanks very much. One question that doesn't seem to have been asked is whether FPS Creator will allow users to reverse the mouse Y axis during play. This is available as standard in all modern FPS games. Can anyone confirm whether the option is included in FPSC.

jburrows could you update the FAQ so that it will incorporate all the new questions being asked as there are a few annoying ones that keep on cropping up again and again. that would be sweet. sorry to sound cheeky...
