ya im not sure how you do that cause it asks for a tile of the image already specified by the prepare matrix texture..but i want to use a different image for other parts of the same matrix.. anyone know how to do this?
Thanks a bunch

you use 'prepare matrix texture' to chop up a big image containing you textures then apply each of these 'tile' onto your matrix using 'set matrix tile'.

Here i use a huge terrain texture mapped to the entire matrix

Hey, i'm new to the forums but have been programming DB for a while now. I haven't upgraded to DBPro yet.

I'm making a turn based strategy game that uses a very large matrix. I want to incorporate many different tile textures that are very realistic. Ideally i'd like to have each individual tile texture 256*256. If i want 100 textures then this means cutting up a large bitmap (2560*2560) into 10x10 segments.

However, i'm experiencing a lot of visual distortion when cutting up any bitmap over about 512*512.
Does anyone know, is there a limit on the size of the bitmap being prepared for a matrix texture?
How can i get rid of this colour distortion when segmenting large bitmaps?

Yes I read somewhere that images larger than 512x512 pixels are resized. This may not be true, I just read it on the forums
