Will it be grid based? For example, if you wanted to, could you load a 3d file as a level in the game?

I'd imagine you can load your own models as tiles ot be placed.

Judging from the videos it is tile based

Get 15 new commands, all the date / time commands left out of DBPro for free!

Tile / Grid based for the segment placing, yes. Then XYZ Unit based for entities.
