I really doubt you can possibly have seen and done everything in one play through-- never mind mods, expansions, and multiplayer, which are crucial components of HL2. Just my take on it .

Because you wont be able to play all the mods that will be released for it? The original Half Life spawned some of the best mods there are (Counter Strike, Natural Selection etc).

The multi-player for HL2 may be good (if they every get around to activating it), but as I dont play on-line games it wont be much use for me. I dont download mods or buy expansion packs (which the exception to C&C).

Mods are like free games.

Free dammit!! They just give them away! How can I resist?

Wa? But from my experience the Mods usually turn out better than the original game! Like Desert Combat for Battlefield 1942, or my personal favorite online game - Natural Selection.

If you've never tried the mods how can you comment?

My HL folder is about 2GB from mods.

But you might like them! It seems you're denying yourself a pleasure for no good reason.

Whatever, your choice.

Might as well be stealing. If you buy a game, play through it in its entirety (which you did), then return it, I'd consider that immoral. That's just me, though. I could see if you didn't like it after the first half hour or if it crashed your computer, but any other reason than that is wrong.

Ya, but the fact that it'll land in the bargain bin at almost but not quite full price doesn't bother you

I have to agree with Jeku, that seems pretty... weird. Why try to get the money back if you played through the game all the way? That's what you paid for in the first place. My two cents.

You cant be bothered downloading free mods , yet you go to the effort of returning a game? how bizarre.

loathing is always a good conversational piece.. for example, which is more dramatic and/or enraging?

I hate the fact that you take your played and enjoyed games back to where you buy them from.

OR

I loathe the fact...

Loathe is such a cool word..

The way it roles off the tongue and insights anger and hatred and all things evil... looooaaathttthhhee..
