Hello All:

Can someone provide the links for the SDK and which compiler they are needed for?

As an example, the "October 2004 9.0c SDK" doesn't work with Visual C++ 6.0 unless you download the Extra Pack.

And since these download are extremely huge, it would be nice to get it the first time.

Thanks in advance.

@IanM

Thank you, but I was trying to get a entire list together. It takes me 19 hours to download the 43 meg Extra Pack. I saw in the Microsoft DirectX Downloads that you can download JUST the C++ version of the DirectX 9.0c but i cannot get to the page anymore.

Besides when I tried to download the entire DirectX 9.0c SDK, it will take me 62 hours and 10 min. Just trying to let people know that they only need to download the C++ version as an example.

As far as I know, the DX SDK isn't broken down that way ... could be wrong though.

Alternatively, you may be able to get the headers & libs from someone who already has them (The libs & headers are 10MB in a rar archive, or 42MB unpacked)

MS used to offer a Postal CD distribution of the SDK (I got DX6 & 7 that way). Hunt around and see if they still have the offer.
