OK,

See that's what I get for jumping the gun...

But it doesn't help that I had to work at this simple thing for 8 hours.

After all, how did I know that I would actually figure it out?

A few tricks:
Spot lights need objects with alot of vertices. Each face seems to have a few lighting capabilities...
More faces- more shape to the cone.

"Set normalization on" with loaded .x objects as the default is set to off.

If you reset a spot light you have to point it again the default seems to be pointing down.

Now how many of you knew that?
You game makers you?

Well, there is about 1000 commands in DBPro and 600 commands in DBV1. I myself havent ever used or even tried more than about 200 commands although I have used DB for over 2 years nearly daily.

Of course DB manual should have much more info and examples.

Hexgear,
I loaded your Ninja game and its very fine, but is it DBV1?

Ground is evidently matrix, so lights work beutifully around lamps but what about indoor walls? How do you get light disappear in corners (for example in bedroom).
