I wrote a simple program, just messing around.... Anyway, I call dbDMEMAvailable() and my window just stays black. When I step, I get a return from dbDMEMAvailable() of 32, which is fine, but nothing displays, no cube, no text. If I replace dbDMEMAvailable() with dbSMEMAvailable(), the program runs fine. What is my problem? BTW: does dbTMEMAvailable() return total system memory? None of these commands appear to be in the help. I search the include files...
thanx

Unfortunately DMEM does take a very long time to execute, so its best not to use in a loop - however, eventually I do get the cube.

Well, I move it out of my loop, and much better. dbDMEMAvailable() seems to take like 10-20 seconds. What happens in the guts that takes so long? Just wondering....
