Dark GDK / dbDeleteParticles also affects objects?

I'm come across a problem whereby deleting a particle (using dbDeleteParticles), has a nasty effect on 1 object, in that it seems to delete it (although it hasn't really) although its just not visible for any reason.

Walk softly... and carry a big gun...

There is also another one I've already found, but no-one confirmed it
Good news is that hopefully these'll be fixed when Mike gets around to the SDK again

It does appear that the given particle number also deletes the same object number...
