Dark GDK / error LNK2001: in VC6 - a fix.

I haven't seen any one else mention this error yet, but here goes...

I built a new Dark Game SDK AppWizard project, and then immediately compiled it. And got 93 link errors of "error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol ___security_cookie"

I was able to track this down to needing the "DirectX 9.0 SDK Update (October 2004) Extras" from MS (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=D6F237DE-A6EE-4DED-8BB6-139536162EB8&displaylang=en)
even though I'd already installed the October 2004 DirectX 9.0 SDK (the extras ia nother 35 mb)

Once you've downloaded it run the exe, unzip into a directory and copy the 3 lib files (d3dx9.lib,d3dx9d.lib,d3dx9dt.lib) from "D3dx9 Visual Studio 6" directory to your SDK installation's lib directory (C:\Program Files\Microsoft DirectX 9.0 SDK (October 2004)\Lib for me)

Compiling now gives no errors.

I hope this helps anyone else with the same problem.

damn, well don't i feel like an idiot. I searched for the error using the google search and didn't find anything. d'oh! please feel free to delete the thread then as it's obviously redundant.
