Hi all,

I have done some mad coding today and put this together in the past 4 hours.

It`s a demo of some effects I have been trying to produce after watching MindCandy (an amazing DVD). It`s not very long but I think it looks good.

Download: http://www.martin.dobie.btinternet.co.uk/Downloads/Experiment.zip
I have been getting about 200FPS on my machine.

Have fun all,

P.S.

If anyone has MindCandy can you tell me were to find the Easter Eggs as I just carn`t find them

Nice effect, but i expected more. But you know there is many demos that have been produced, mainly in asm, pascal, c++ etc. And u can download many of them from:

http://www.pouet.net/
http://www.monostep.org/
http://www.scene.org/

The demodvd consists of realtime demos that have been framegrabbed to make a video out of these. The demoscene
have existed since the 80`s.

Next time do more parts + have some music. Then it`s a demo

You can easily use the timer to do many parts.

Thanks people,

I`ve been around the scene for the past 15 years, I saw it begin and change platforms a few times. I used to be a 2D artist and swapper for a group on the Amiga.

The reason why there isn`t much at the moment is I have only been working on it today. As I thought it looked good I thought i`d put it out as it was. I need to do a lot more befor it will be anywere near the length it should be.
The biggest problem with music is you need someone to do some for you, (i`m not going to use a mod form Necterine) so for now it will have to run silent.

Giff: Aha, i was a graphician and swapper on the amiga scene aswell. I started my scene activities in 91.
Now i`m on PC only.

Yeah, i know the music problem. It`s hell to create some music when you ain`t musician. I know that very well

I think i gonna do a demo aswell, but i will not have so much time now because of studies.

But Giff, next time, REMEMBER to go into the "Configure EXE settings" and set the settings to EXE with attached media + Compress Attached media to get the file smaller.

Keep up the good work. Cheers

I set the settings to attach media and compress but it didn`t work so i didn`t bother to play around. I`ll have to experiment with it a bit more but I just wanted to get it out.

I do know of a few people that could do me some tunes, i`ll have to go and talk to them.

Good luck with your demo,

Laters
