I went to see that great fairy... jeez she dresses like a slut.

No joke!!! That one of the things I hate most about OOC. Raven, PLEASE tell me you're gonna redo that model.

Well, off to Ganon's Tower. I'll post once I beat it.

lol I know he is easy, I went in a bit to cocky, and my shield got burned up and such. Finally pulled out my metal one, but he had already flamed and rolled over me. Considering I only had three hearts of life, one of which was almost depleted going in, that left me quite drained

lol... i had 5 hearts going into him didn't loose any though.

i might redo the models - but its more likely that most of them i'm just going to be redeveloping with more polygons (similar to FFX level of detail)

the one i always hated was Gannondorf (not Gannon he's bloody easi) ... cause he destroyes everything and you have to do that 360° spin with the 3D Stick rather than charge to do it in time.

I tried to beat my old time of completeing it though, came close 5hr 12mins

Well, I finished it, only died once, at the first dungeon. Oh, in Ganon's Castle, the Fire Barrier, it'll make you say ever single dirty word you know and then you'll make up some. One last thing, kinda a spoilier but sinse it has nothing to do with the plot I figuer what the hell. They changed Ganon's blood color, it was red in the original, now it's green. When will NOA grow up?

I've heard NOA will grow up around 2009, but knowing them, they might delay it until 2010 or when hell freezes over...

Anyway, any new Zelda's great!

It has always been green... hasn't it?

The great fairy is badly in need of a new model, but you can't dress her up like cinderella or something. Just as long as she isn't covered in those vines.

its nothing to do with NOA - but its actually got more to do with the fact that Green Blood = Teen, Red Blood = Mature

the Original Zelda was a Mature game, but Wind Waker was certificated Teen ... so they had to make sure the bonus games didn't bump that up.

if you want to bitch at someone bitch at your Certification Board for the ever increasing certifications ... its pretty sad really.

i think the fairy model is kinda poor, but i'm certinaly not convinced she should wear more

How about less makup? You really need to fix this one blunder. At least fix that face, she looked like she got beat with an ugly stick

I got the gold OOC version, and it has red blood in the last scene and it's rated 'E'. It also has neat little glitch in it. When you're fighting Ganon and he knocks you sword away, save and then quit. You won't have you're sword but now you can use any item while on Eponi. I've yet to test this on the GC version, and it doesn't work on the grey cartiges.

its called Ocarina of Time (OOT)

sounds like a pretty useless bug though

ya, both N64 Zelda games are rated E for Everyone, in North America anyway, however they also had the warning... went something like "some cartoon violence"... I think

Jeezes, I have benn calling it OOC, I feel like an ass.

Yeah that bug is pretty useless, but it's fun with the hookshot. If you latch on to a object you can move link any where you want, as long as he doesn't touch the ground. I got the little pointer on the map moved halfway across the screen, but yeah it's useless.

well... this isn't really a Freeware thing as such, its more of a game engine - so it'll be for the most part the full source.

Object formats, world formats, Ai, physics, etc...
the game is just to be a demonstration of what it is capable of

As long as it takes really ... no point rushing anything, especially the way i'm working right now.

My main problem before i left for the weekend was how i was going to setup and the world formats original layout for developing the world - as it needs to be edited in an expansive form.
Have been using fmtBSP ... which as the day before i left was working on stuff for Rose (literally until my mom unplugged my laptop and dragged me outta my chair ) - so still think i have a little of that to do, but each of the areas of this are showing promise.

I'm working a little on each of the area's at once, which means i can spot the bugs in thier interaction quicker (far better than actually coding for a day and finding out that certain aspects are incomptible )

i'm not sure but i'd say a demo version would be a month maybe two away (cause i'm getting back to fulltime work monday) ... perhaps the engine will be avaiable around August (^_^) might seem far away but as some aspects will be DLL plugin features, its a reasonable guess

Wow!! Looks brilliant. How did you get the image to fade at theedges. Whenever I try and do that it just gets darker and then bocomes black. Or did you do it by spacing the pixels in the image. This is gonna be great!

thats an ingame shot - but from a good month or two back, and that DarkBasic Enhanced NOT Professional

the first picture is a render - however wouldn't be too hard to have something very similar within Professional or Enhanced without much trouble.

god ya know that screenshot is so far back i was actually still calling this "The Legend of the Tech Demo" hehee
cause thats all it was

i didn't answer your question because it doesn't matter what i happened to use ... doesn't mean i'll always use it or is something i'd recommend to be used for everyone else or is even available to the public right now.

in short, i'm not going to answer it

there is a model within that picture and if you bothered to go back, there is a link to my forum which holds VRML representations of some of the game models but not many cause after problems with the forums ... which i can't figure out howto fixx i decided not to update.

now unless you can try now to demand things i won't be answering you again

yup... but i'm a loveable jerk

... c'mon look at these baby blue eyes (eye colour isn't actually baby blue but infact a pale shade of indigo) ... can you really stay mad at me?

actually the last answer think i said is closer to the truth "or is even available to the public right now"

i'm not going to say what, because i know i'll have the hell bugged outta me for it. All i'll tell you about it is that it is PURE darkbasic professional... so i guess you could call it an inengine shot, but it was Render'd.

i have a mate who recently developed a Real-Time Raytrace Render'r for me ... tell ya what i do hope to get it into Professional ASAP cause it'll help some things

thats a model... its just a little effect involving the Backbuffer and an image Memblock

if you notice the edges it doesn't actually blend with the background because i found a way to alpha models within the screen looks good but isn't very DB friendly.
Good thing is as it was only a single object it didn't matter what size it was, runs at relatively the same speed all the time. Looks good spinning around (even at 8fps )

i may release futher screenshots - problem is if you expect screenshots then your missing the point of what this is about. Because i could show you two screenshots that look identical, but are running on completely different engines - so i'm not sure what kind of insight it'll provide

oh don't worry this isn't on a backburner
this is actually in secret dev now - no more information to be released until i'm happy with the results.

as i've said, my release date is going to be August time, and i'm sticking to that as a realistic date ... and i'm developing it with the it takes as long as it takes to be good, rather than showing ya'll instant results
however there is some more information about all of the current FMTau and RGD projects comming with the new website - which is comming along nicely from what i've seen.

so be patient young one, and it shall be rewarded
