Paint Shop Pro. I liked it better than TrueScape for some reason, though I think Texture Maker kicks the crap out of it.

I'm not going to get it at Christmas though.

I bought meself a radio controled airplane, a new scanner, a new mobile phone, a one gig sd card for my Tungsten e, fancy rack for all my DVD`s, two books on directX, Epson photoprinter (they are the best imo) and the high in the sky DVD from Europress (the only disapointment so far, the viewer won`t go fullscreen and has very limited functionality (looks like it was written for a screen res of 640x480)), it`s cool being single and in a reasonably well paid job, you can buy yourself just what you want, trouble is they never got as far as being wrapped , still have a truckload of pressys to come yet though, spent about 750 just on myself and about the same on all my immediate family (6 people), now just got to work overtime for one or two months to pay the overdrawn bit off

Ahh, just got back from getting presents. We don't usually open them on Christmas Eve but tomorrow I'm driving to Logan Lake so we won't have a chance then.

Anyways, I got Total Recall DVD, Drunken Master DVD, Seinfeld season 1-2 DVDs, a few shirts, a huge toolset, and a vacuum cleaner. Not too shabby

the best part of this Christmas for me is the exellent feedback I got, all my pressys where so well received I feel like the big guy himself , mind you I spent a lot of time in deep-think mode working out what to get for who, I hate it when people get you cop out presents like vouchers, singing santas or cash, shows they didn`t think it worth their while to take the time to work out a suitable present for you .

Although I have never given anyone "cop out" presents, I really dislike Christmas shopping so I sympathise completely. Plus any cash can go into my iPod Mini fund

My main present was a Vauxhall Corsa (L-reg - 10yrs old, 3 door, 1.2 V4 engine), plus a copy of Driving Test Success (Hazard Perception). That is going to have to last me all the way through Uni. It is a small car, but the insurance is very reasonable and you can probably find spare parts in cornflakes packets.

I don't have a problem with gift certificates or money, it's much preferable to receiving a rotten present because the other person didn't know what to give you. The downside is that the person is basically saying: "this is how much money you're worth", due to the amount they give you.

I don't think it's about being slack or anything, though.

No one complains when they get cash on christmas. It's raw resources that gives you the oppurtunity to go out and buy whatever the hell you have your eye on. (That DS is mine. MINEEEEEEEEEEE.)

Why? Are you one of those late starters? Are you like 18 and have to go like 2 weeks before getting a five o'clock shadow? Awww... bless... Kinda makes some sense of your name now (Shadows of Emptiness - ie. no proper unshaven shadows).

Anyhoos, I got the Lord of the Rings extended trilogy, an XBox (didn't know what to have from my parents so thought I may as well complete the set, and I liked the previous Midtown madness games on the PC), some games, and the usual stuff. Not too bad. Oh, and after seeing the Sony NW-E99 1Gb MP3 player I gave to someone for Xmas, I'm now going to order one myself. Right now perhaps... tis that good. And tiny. And stuff the IPod mini Rob, need one for your sister or something?

Whoops! - The Driving Test Success software my parents bought has a rather comical bug I found on my first run through:

"Test Failed: You scored 44 out of 75. The pass mark is 44 out of 75".

Hmm.... Someone typed '>' instead of '>=' in the code.
