dogs are awful, they drool, they try and eat food off your plate while you are eating, they smell, they jump in lochs and swim and get covered in algi, they roll in mud, they bark and make lots of noise, the jump up and try to knock you over, they can't look after themselves, they poo anywhere and don't bury it, the list goes on....

cats on the other hand are clean, they don't drool, they don't stick their heds in your plate, they don't smell, they don't need your attention 24-7, they sleep most of they day, they go out and can look after themselves, they don't need to be kept on a leash, they can be toilet trained (litter tray), they bury their poo when outside so you can't stand on it, they don't like water so don't go swimming in mucky water, they are inteligent and the list goes on..

if you want to look at the egyptian aaspect, dogs play no role in egyptian mythology, they are not mentioned anywhere, anubus was a jackal not a dog, cats however were held in high status and treated with respect and worshiped.

Ours don't either, instead they try and steal food of our plates.

Mine tries for World Domination... Don't make me show all the maps and flags of my cat army... I already did once, if you didn't catch it.... I'll wait for a challenge to release my maps.

It's actually based on a book called 'The Incredible Journey' where a cat and two dogs get lost in the woods and have to find their way home. In any case, I'm 90% sure that Sally Field plays the cat who makes the comment to one of the dogs.

It is possible that the same line is in both movies though.
