There is many good calls you can use in the windows system dll files But beware.. the program/game you making is much more easy to crack then But what tha f*ck, just encrypt/pack the program with another packer/encrypter than DBPros. And when you already up to it.. make some anyoing check code to in your program just to f*ck with crackers who want to sc*ew your program/game.
And by the way cracking a home made/commercial game/app is much more simple than anyone thinks it is.. how I know this?! Dont ask

Possibly - but would be rather hard as they need structures and pointers to structures etc etc...

kernel32 contains core functions only - it does not contain any windows functions. These can be found in user32.dll, gdi32.dll and various others.

It'll be very hard, if not near impossible. It would be easier to write a C DLL to do it..

It's not the windows calls that are the problem. It's needing a window callback procedure to handle the windows messages - and for that you'll need a DLL I'm afraid.

There it is.

PS - next time, can you be more patient when asking questions and reading answers - people try to help and when you don't understand try asking another question

Sometimes the original question does get lost in the discussion that goes on - it's just one of the risks you take by asking questions

What we were discussing, is one of the bits of windows programming that DB and DBPro does for you behind the scenes.
