I think you can choose whether to get the sci-fi or WWII pack with FPSC, but you can also import your own models if they have the right animations.

You should make a new thread otherwise you are hijacking MaddA ChieF's thread where he is trying to get an answer to HIS question.

(not withstanding that your question could be answered with a little searching through the forums - sorry Nerd, not trying to be mean.)

no "aliens" on the EA version as yet, maybe in V1 (when I say aliens I mean those green things from the planet ZARG, theres still plenty of colourful characters in FPSC!).
I'm not too sure about using the 3d gamemaker models in FPSCreator, I think you will be able to use them in it if its freeware because you have already purchased both products. I'm not too sure what you would have to do about file conversion or rigging though...

Just curious.

Ah, ok. Not a problem.

If you are serious about your game, take a quick look at http://www.turbosquid.com they have some good models at a decent price.

*OR*

If you need free models, take a look at http://www.3dcafe.com/asp/meshes.asp

I would still like to know if you can do this "rigging" in FPSC or if you somehow have to do it in another program (like Maya, Max, etc.)

It needs to be done within a modeller. Something like milkshape won't work as it can't import the animations from .x anyway.

Milkshape won't work with FPSC? Ah man, that ruined it for me.

It won't work for ANIMATING, but it should be fine for making 3d models (if you are good with Milkshape - I suck )

MILKSHAPE works fine for animating, modeling, texturing and X exporting. It just cant import animation from an x file. Altouh you can make material for FPSC with MILKSHAPE.
"Major Payn" Dont spread rumors about fine programs.
I use it with DBP and it work fine.

I don't think he was spreading rumors so much as he misunderstood David T's statement.

Good to know that although Milkshape won't IMPORT animation it can still create it

If FPSC uses bones, is it bossible that we could import the FPSC skeleton, rig it onto a milkshape created character, then export that to FPSC, and then be animated?

Guns arn't the problem, people are the problem, shoot all the people and guns arn't a problem anymore.

Maby but i dont "Think" so.
I dont know for sure.
Well se when EA is released.
(but i would think that its easier
to make your own skeleton then to rig
someone elses skeleton to match your
model)

Ok, so we can't import the pre-set FPSC animations, but we can create our own animations using our own skeletons and export them to FPSC? If so then great!

Sweet, I just hope exporting animations from milkshape to FPSC is less of a hassel than it is for DB.
