Hope this isn't asked before, I did a search but couldn't find anything about it just that there are coloured lights (like I didn't knew already). I've been reading this forum from like the beginning of it and it's just to much to remember...

So can we customize our own colors for the lights?

I don`t think you can customize you own lights. But as you say there IS colored lights to choose from.

The FAQ to FPSC is also really good
You can go here and read it: http://www.moddersplanet.com/fpscreator/fpscreator.htm

Well, can anyone else reply to this. Because... like in the screenshot of Jasuk, for instance you have a purple object and it's got to give light in purple, do you have to do red then? So that's why I can't to customize the colors.

You have complete flexibility over light colours. There are about 4 or 5 presets, but you can select anything you want from the colour picker dialog.

#000000 is black, #FFFFFF is white, I'm not good with other colours, but hey, that's what photoshop is for, lol

Use the colour sliders to get the colour you want or looks good visually is best. Then when you have a colour you want add it to the default colours and make a note of the values for future reference. You will probably have to test it out in game to get it just right, what looks right in the colour picker can look different in game. Until you get used to a system some adjusting is likely to be necessary if you are fussy with how you scene looks - you should be.

easy

Then why were you so excited about hex values?

The most useful aspect (in art programs) is that you can designate various web colors using hex. Not sure how useful it is in FPSC, but it's nice to have more options

As uman says ultimately it will be trial and error with what looks best in the game.

I dont thing you understand what I'm saying. Photoshop displays the hex code for the colours I pick, so when I'm looking for a specific colour, I check in photoshop what the hex is :p.

I understood completely what you said. Photoshop also tells what the RGB values are - something you can put in without having to open 2 sub dialogs in FPSC to do (or so it would seem from the screen shot)

Most people would probably use RGB values before HEX anyway. Oh nevermind (something about fighting a battle of wits...)
