Are the scripts compiled or interpreted?
Can other objects be attached to the camera
Through scripts ?

Thank You

Compkled to some form of byte code, I think. But the byte code is then interpreted by an FPSC app, if you know what I mean

Thank you for response.

Noldor.

Well Yes it does.
I would not ask a question if were not important to me.
If you have ever used a scripting lang.
You know that every cycle the script is executed.
scripts that are compiled.
Run faster than interpreted scripts.
This improves frame rate.
Along with proper game design.

Best Regards.

As far as I know most interpreters convert the code into some form of bytecode before attempting to execute it.

Yes i know the defference between interpreted and compiled
code. But the speed of the game will probably
be determined by the FPSC Game engine and the media that u use.
And not by the FPI script

i'm pretty sure that the FPI scripts wont slow the game by any noticeable amount, even when a particularly complicated one.

Thank you for your time.

Noldor.
The Game engine.May govern the highest frame rate possible.
But to tell you the truth ever aspect of the games design.
determined constant frame rate.

Thank you also for your response.

Every single thing involved in making and playing games has an influence on how the game plays - absolutely everything - from the system its played on to engine and the code and scripts it uses.

Thus they all extremely important to the end gameplay quality.

i.e. Absolutely every single character of code in the engine, source, game code, scripts, sound, texture, sprite or model and everything else added will potentially reduce playability.

Thats why if you keep adding you will grind to a halt - no question about it. Try it, just keep adding stuff.

Yes of course.

However with reference to the FPI Scripts themselves they seem to be extremely small and compact. In themselves and in general they should have little influence on speed of gameplay except perhaps when they trigger a great deal of entity decision making all at once on screen - apparently - Lee has made some changes to this which seemed to indicate that - the speed of decision making was changed recently - I cannot say how this will influence gameplay of course.

We shall just have to wait and see.
