I've read Rob K's post on segments and even downloaded the example he provided. From my understanding is that Walls are 100dx height and 100dx width but what about depth. I couldn't seem to get that information out of the editor I was using. Would I have up to 100dx units that I could use for the wall or is it about 20dx deep. If we can import a wall that is 100x100x100 what would stop us from using this to create fake terrain?(Don't read anything into this, it's a simple question)I wouldn't be planning on using this fake terrain to walk on, but just for looking outside a window and seeing a small hill.
Something like that.
Thanks.

I think you may be getting confused - I cannot remember posting any segment examples.

Segments are 100x100x100 in size.

Nothing is stopping you modelling fake terrain for placement in a map. In another thread here I posted a pic of a tank model I imported. It could easily have been a hill. Granted, it'd have looked odd inside a bunker and all, but it could still have been a hill.

Just don't expect the things that make terrain really WORK in a game - like foliage, trees, rocks, etc etc. You don't really get that level of layer control in placement.

Do such items fall to the nearest solid surface then. How does it work?

DOH
That was Van B. I'm sorry Rob. As far as terrain goes, I'm not bothered if I don't have rock's, tree's etc.. I'm making a Sci-Fi shooter anyway.
