Can you target lock a player? I haven't seen it much in FPS games but here's a picture of what I mean, if you don't get it. (2nd person, but still some FPS games actually DO have it)

Edit: actually it's kinda 2.5 person view

True true.
But you have to agree that it was somewhat of a cool
feature in "Alien vs Predator" (Smart Gun)

Just play Die Hard on the Gamecube - it has auto locking, but that's because aiming manually is about as much fun as an eyeball injury. Personally I think auto-targetting would be a step in the wrong direction, despite being a real pain for Lee to code, it would just deminish peoples perception of your FPSC game. I always assume that auto-aiming is for when they can't get the game easy enough to be fun.

Probably true.
I don't want Auto-targeting in my games
anyway it bellongs to the Console fps games.

If there was a homing rocket weapon type, I agree. But there isn't.

Nah, I was going to comment on this but what's the friggin point. I've been flamed so much lately for 'commenting' on things, I look like a charcoal briquette.

Never mind.

I'd take offense to that if I wasn't in such a good mood, coldnews

Just kidding. I got it.

Seriously though, I'm in a great mood. jasuk70's release of the demo movie today is the best thing to happen around here in weeks. I can't wait for the release.

Why dont you set it so you can just point your gun straight forward and have another key that you press to make it lock onto the target.

Our aim is to keep the loo's clean, your aim can help.
