Try deleting the file and running the Download Manager again, it should re-download it. If not I can upload that one file.

Sorry to bother but I just got a bit annoyed by the checking the post contents for new members. I'm not a new member, just one with a new "incarnation". I understand though why you need to take that safty step but it is a hassel when playing with time.

Hard one. I didn't run into a problem with mine. You might try downloading everything again. Before you do that though, can you post a screen shot of the file size?

White Mail Revived - Please see the 2nd message I posted in the thread in this forum re: downloading troubles. The one about the batch file. I have uploaded some new batch files which I reckon will work for you all.

I think this is a Windows thing.. it's failing because the command line appears to be too long. Can I just check - are you both using XP and if so which version?

Both of you - read the new message I placed into my sticky thread.

Cheers,

Rich

Yeah I figured as much XP can handle the extra long input parameters, hence why I split the batch file up and voila.. works

Nightbyer - post more details about which step it's failing on (assuming you are doing the new batch file route). Post your version of Windows too.

Thanks Rich, and like Nightbyer said, get some rest. (how can how think staying up this late, its 10:30 Us eastern time and I'm going to bed in an hour!)

It doesn't fail on any step. Just when I go to install it, it starts checking the integrety and then it says something about "corrupt file perhaps?"

Follow the instructions in the batch file thread I wrote on here, ignore the download manager totally now. If you have the files you don't need that exe any more.

When attempting to extract the files from the zip, it gives a error about a third of the way through.

It is easy to miss a bad file size. In Windows Explorer, right click on the pane, and selected View > Details in the dir you downloaded to.

Slowly scroll down the list until you notice a little something different go by in the listing. If so, take a closer look.

Only part 406 is less than 1 megabyte, and should be 589kb. All the rest should be 1,024kb in the list.

Move all the parts higher than the bad part to another dir, and delete just the bad part. Now start the Downloader and let it get the one that you deleted.

Now, go the the dir where you saved the good parts, and copy them back to your download dir. If you have more than one bad part, do
this until they are all good.

You will need to delete the corrupt zip file that was made before
you got the new parts, as well, I think.

This worked for me, and I replaced two bad parts and installed FPSC without trouble.
