I'm not an animal rights hippie or anything like that, but this video is shocking. Funny though that one of their gripes is that the chicken's throats are cut when they're awake, but that's what happens in every food industry, whether it be cattle, pork, etc.

I dont eat KFC anyway. I reckon those chickens are probably the really sick ones that aren't fit for human consumption and are thrown away. Apparently KFC chicken is two grades of chicken quality below dog food chicken, which wouldn't surprise me.

Either way, that vid is a bit sick, but I've seen much much worse. It's a shame, but torturing animals is just standard practice is almost every society in the world. The sooner we all die of a killer virus, the better.

I first ate and KFC when I met my ex, 6 years ago, (this was because she worked there) last time I ate there was when we broke up, 6 weeks later!

If you heard the stories I've heard about the quality of food in Mcdonalds and Burger King, you'd never even go in those places again let alone eat at there! (by the way, I won't mention them here, mainly because I'd probably get banned, yes that's how bad they are!)

I didn't get to see the video very well, but at that resolution you can't tell if the chickens have heads or not. If they were headless chickens, freshly denogginized, they would be kicking about as they are in that film. Since there's no head, it won't be feeling much pain when the body gets slammed on the wall.

Are you insane. I for one don't want to die from a virus. And there are far worse things than this in the world than abusing chickens, like my spelling and world hunger. Do you think animals in the wild kill their prey with dignity? Lets not fool ourselves thats what we are just animals higher up on the food chain.

Yep.

As much as that video was disturbing, they are indeed just animals. We have far, far worse things to worry about now.

Every second of your life, you are breathing hundreds, if not, thousands of microbes that attack you internally. There hasn't been a meal you've eaten without germs already eating it. The great thing is that the human body is so resilient and powerful, that you don't notice any of the effects. There is virtually nothing that McDonalds or Burger King can have in their food that can do that much damage.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a fast food restaurant that actively sells food infected by the mad cow disease.

McDonalds does'nt bother me, I know half the people working in our local Mc'D's and have had all the horror stories - and there's really nothing sinister about the food, except the health risks of eating it of course.

I can't stand KFC though, gonna make my family watch this video so they never want a KFC again. Hmmmmm, yeah, we'll have the big bucket of cist ridden baby chicklets please, and a bottle of warm pepsi.

So these days, our beloved chicken is something of a luxury. KFC are out, I won't go there out of my respect for chicken. Supermarkets are out too, with their massive genetically engineered chickens selling at £2.15 for a 20'lb chicken or something like that. So if you love chicken, and you have any respect for your internal organs or other animals, really your left with organic chicken, which is damn expensive, but damn good.

I like KFC, and I'd continue eating there because:
The food is better (IMO) than McD's.
We can't tell if the video is real
Can't even tell if it's really KFC in that film

The only reason I don't eat at KFC is this: There isn't one nearby.

Have you ever stopped and looked at what your eating though - take all the skin off, all that stuff they have to coat the chicken in to get people to eat it - and take a look at the actual meat (what there is of it) and the condition of the bones. The burger menu is far safer, but frankly if that's the standard of their buckets, then I dread to think what goes into their burgers.

When I were a lad, I worked in a vegetable prepping factory, worst job ever, smelly, dirty, full of idiots - but stupid as this may sound we had respect for what we were doing, the workforce itself had it's own standards regardless of what management thought was the best way. Like if anything fell on the ground, the management would'nt bother if we picked it up and dusted it off - but we did'nt, it was actually pretty fun to throw all this profit down the trash. Even our trash was looked after, all the veggie prep waste, like the peelings really, they all go to feed cattle, so we had our own standards for waste as well, we would'nt let any non-organic material in the trash. e.g. I dropped my machete down the trash chute, and had to climb into the trash to look for it - not a happy job.

I'm puzzled as to how it's possible for this stupidity to exist, the colonal has a lot to answer for.

You can tell it's real alright. Watch it full screen and it's clear the chickens are alive, and not headless. They run around plenty too, and I'd be amazed if anyone had either the techinal capability to fake something like that, and if they did if they had the budget, time and inclination to do so. True you can't tell if it's actually KFC.

You like KFC because it's better than McDonald's? Lol - I like syphilus because it's not as bad as AIDS.

It's a chicken. If you've ever dealt with a chicken in real life, then you wouldn't care if it dies. They're good for food, but they're idiots.

What you mean a real live chicken? - actually I've known plenty people to have chooks as pets, there's a woman here who keeps organic chickens and sells the eggs - if she watched that vid then she'd probably be physically sick. A popular activity in Britain is for school kids to go on trips to farms, so you could say that practically every brit has at one point encountered a chicken and held it in higher regard than a can of beans or a loaf of bread.

They might be stupid but that doesn't mean they deserve to be kicked, beaten and abused as they are in that video. I'm met plenty of chickens and they were all perfectly inoffensive individuals. Not that I'm against eating them, there's a difference between giving them a reasonably long, comfortable life before killing them quickly with a cleaver and treating them in that awful way.

Actually, yes, I did stop to look at it. Seemed fine. Then again, the last time I ate at KFC was 2 years ago, in El Salvador. I'm sure that if the cooks were salvadoran the food would've been of decent quality. This because El Salvador has a local fast-food chain that sells mainly chicken (Pollo Campero), and is very popular. If KFC were to try to beat the locals at what they've been doing for years, then they wouldn't do it carelessly... But then again, who knows?

I really don't like McDonnald's, I prefered Burger King for a while because the hamburgers tasted like they came from a grill, not a frying pan. But then after a while they started tasting like McD's too.

mc'ds burgers are nasty.. salty and icky and *shutters*

Burger king tastes far better, though I'll prefer a freshly grilled real burger any time

Burger King also has the better fries nowadays.. heh, 5 years ago we used to go to mc'donald's to get their fries, and drive across the parking lot to burger king for burgers

Don't have to do that anymore, bk really changed around their fries^_^

egg & saucage & bacon with pork gravy
side of chicken strips
jello dessert

I had Mc. Donalds yesterday. and to tell you the truth, i think i can safely say that what i ate could hardly be classified as beef.

Mc Donalds Logo should be: "We start of with 100% Pure Beef, then proccess the hell out of it."

but you know, for dinner i think ill have a nice steak, smuthered in marination, with a side of chicken and porkchops, and for dessert, pig skin. So eat that, enviormentilest pieces of crap!

PETA is just another extremist group. In some cases, they might actually have a point, but they cloud their valid points with stretched truths, selective facts, and outright lies. They do their own campaign more harm than good.

You can argue that killing any life in any form is cruel. The fact is that animals will be slaughtered for food. It is industry and it is not pretty.
If PETA's front was against things such as what is shown in the chicken video, then fine. However, it is not. Their fight is to treat animals better than we treat our fellow humans. People are born with two pointy teeth in their mouth for a reason: tearing flesh. We are designed to eat both vegtetation AND MEAT.

Wanna here a funny story?

The first Kentucky Fried Chicken is not in Kentucky, nope, its in Utah about 36 miles away (though it recently went through a renovation). The only reason it was called "Kentucky Fried Chicken" was because it was started by a family of kentuckans.

As for PETA, extremists...

If you love someone, set them free; If they come home, set them on fire.
