I dont know if it is possible but can any of the scripts call external applications (shell) if so cut scenes would be possible with a avi to exe app (i know there is a GIF to EXE may be there is one for avi).
just thinking out aloud!

PLEASE PLEASE, search the forums. No video playback compatibility yet. (it is hoped that it will be added in V1)

There is no video playback yet as coldnews said, but you could make your game, then write a dbp exe. Have a video play then call you fps .exe after the video to start you fps games .exe and have a video intro, you just can not call video between levels or at the end of the game yet. But you could have a video intro before the game starts.

dbp is a programming language, you need to write code and make a .exe that is seperate from you fpscreator game. In the dbp program you call lines of code that will open and play/display your avi, then you open and run the fpscreator game .exe from the dbp program.

Skalex, has made a example of how you could do it in a thread.

Due to the huge number of requests to play an AVI inside FPSC game levels, I have added it to my monster main list for V1 (and not many items get added to this list). Fear not, it is highly likely V1 will allow you to add your favourite home grown movie and play it inside an FPSC game. Watch this space (and my dev diaries as I march through April and May).

Thats a couple of good news posts Ive seen from Lee today regarding improvements to FPSC - I like the TGC attitued towards suggestions - they do as is has been shown seem to genuinely lsten to users and I am sure will meet with requests wherever that is practiccal and possible.

Makes for a very promising outlook for FPSC.

Lee,

Are there going to be any updates to FPSC so that we continue testing it for the bugs?

Thank you
